Key Qualifications:

  • Master’s or Doctorate degree in Audiology from an accredited program
  • Active California Audiologist License or eligibility for licensure
  • Background working with children in educational environments is preferred
  • Strong communication skills for collaborating with students, families, and school professionals
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to manage evaluations, documentation, and follow-through

Core Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive hearing assessments for students ranging in age and need
  • Develop and recommend individualized support plans, including the selection and fitting of assistive listening devices
  • Interpret audiological evaluation results and maintain accurate documentation
  • Work closely with teachers, counselors, families, and other specialists to integrate hearing support across learning settings
  • Guide staff and parents about hearing loss, auditory processing, and management strategies
  • Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the development of educational accommodations
  • Provide ongoing monitoring and follow-up for students using amplification devices or interventions
