Registered Nurse School Setting - Malden, MA

A unique opportunity awaits for a dedicated school nurse to support the health and well-being of young learners. This full-time, contract position runs from August 17, 2026, through June 18, 2027, providing care to students in PreK–2nd grade. The role is onsite only, offering a predictable weekday schedule of 8 AM to 4 PM, totaling 40 hours per week. RN and LPN candidates with school-based experience are welcome to apply.

Key Qualifications:

• Valid Massachusetts license as either an RN or LPN
• Demonstrated experience in school-based nursing
• Reliable transportation for daily onsite presence
• Successful completion of the fingerprinting and CORI background check processes
• Ability to commit fully to the specified 8 AM–4 PM schedule, Monday through Friday, without accommodations
• Comfort working independently and collaboratively in a campus environment
• Professional communication skills and a nurturing approach with young children

Role Responsibilities:

• Administer daily care addressing student illnesses, injuries, and chronic health needs
• Manage and dispense medication in accordance with physician directives and district policies
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date student health records
• Respond promptly to medical emergencies and ensure protocols are followed
• Communicate with caregivers, staff, and outside providers to support individual student needs
• Promote a safe and healthy environment through education and prevention strategies

This assignment requires working on campus in a vibrant and collaborative elementary setting. Interviews will be conducted via Zoom, offering a streamlined process for qualified candidates.
