Job Description
Make a direct impact on students’ lives as an Occupational Therapist working within a supportive, dynamic educational environment. This contract position offers the flexibility to work full-time or part-time, Monday through Friday, for the duration of the school year. You’ll provide essential therapy services to students on campus and also have the opportunity to assist those who are medically homebound, ensuring that all students have access to the care they need.
Desired Qualifications:
- Current, active Occupational Therapist license in Delaware
- Experience providing OT services in a school setting strongly preferred
- Ability to effectively support diverse student needs, including those on homebound instruction
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Commitment to fostering a positive, inclusive environment
- Must be able to provide a current resume and verification of licensure
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver occupational therapy services to students as indicated on their individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Work with school staff, families, and related providers to develop and implement therapeutic interventions
- Support students in reaching functional and academic goals in both school settings and homebound environments
- Maintain accurate records of assessments, interventions, and progress
- Adapt strategies to meet fluctuating caseloads as assignments change throughout the year
