Position Overview
LHH is seeking a Critical Operations Technician I for a growing Facilities Operations team. This role is ideal for individuals with hands-on technical experience who enjoy working with complex systems and equipment in a highly structured, safety-focused environment.
As a Critical Operations Technician, you will help maintain the critical electrical, mechanical, HVAC, and IT infrastructure that keeps data center operations running efficiently and reliably. This position offers the opportunity to develop technical skills, work with advanced technologies, and build a long-term career within a rapidly growing industry.
Location: On-site
Schedule: Supports a 24/7/365 operational environment; shift work required.

Key Responsibilities
- Perform preventive maintenance on mechanical, electrical, HVAC, and IT equipment.
- Monitor equipment performance, record operational data, and make adjustments as needed.
- Assist with the installation, troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of critical facility systems.
- Install and support server cabinets, equipment racks, cabling, fiber infrastructure, and related hardware.
- Process maintenance work orders and ensure accurate documentation of completed work.
- Respond to facility alarms, customer requests, and operational incidents in a timely and professional manner.
- Utilize ticketing and maintenance management systems to track and document work activities.
- Follow established change management procedures for preventative and corrective maintenance activities.
- Maintain compliance with safety standards, policies, and procedures.
- Collaborate with team members to support building operations and customer requirements.
Required
- Two or more years of technical training, trade school education, apprenticeship experience, or equivalent hands-on experience.
- Experience with facilities maintenance, electrical systems, mechanical systems, HVAC equipment, IT hardware, cabling, or related technical disciplines.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to read and follow technical procedures, documentation, and safety protocols.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
- Experience working in a data center, manufacturing facility, industrial environment, commercial building operations, utilities, telecommunications, or another critical operations setting.
- Familiarity with preventive maintenance programs and facility operations.
- Experience utilizing computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) or ticketing platforms.
