Responsibilities

Draw blood specimens from patients of all age groups, including pediatric and geriatric populations, following established procedures.

Prepare and label specimens accurately for laboratory testing.

Communicate effectively with patients to explain procedures and provide reassurance, ensuring a positive experience.

Maintain accurate records of specimen collection and related documentation.

Adhere to safety protocols to ensure a safe and professional environment at all times.

Demonstrate leadership behaviors and process excellence in daily tasks.

Support confidentiality and uphold the integrity of patient information.

Required Skills

Ability to perform quality, error-free blood collection in a fast-paced environment.

Strong organizational and record-keeping skills.

Excellent customer service and communication skills.

Keyboard and data entry proficiency.

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Additional Skills & Requirements

Minimum of 6 months recent phlebotomy experience required; 1+ years preferred.

High school diploma or equivalent required.

Phlebotomy certification preferred; required in California, Nevada, and Washington.

Medical assistant or paramedic training is a plus.

Flexible availability, including weekends, holidays, on-call, and overtime, based on staffing needs.
