Take on a rewarding Speech-Language Pathologist opportunity making a tangible impact in the lives of diverse students within a supportive school community near Newark, DE. This contract position runs from August 25, 2026 through June 8, 2027, with flexible options for full-time or part-time availability (up to 37.5 hours per week, Monday through Friday). Step beyond the traditional school role by providing high-quality onsite SLP services while also playing a critical part in supporting students who are medically homebound.

In this position, you’ll serve both in-school caseloads (site to be determined) and collaborate with staff to meet the communication and language needs of students receiving services at home. The nature of your caseload will change throughout the school year, offering a dynamic and meaningful experience. Candidates will need a Delaware SLP license and should be ready to share their résumé to be considered.

Key qualifications:

  • Active Delaware Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) license
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)
  • Previous school-based experience preferred
  • Experience or enthusiasm for working with both on-site and homebound student populations
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills
  • Passion for fostering growth and advocating for students with diverse needs

Primary responsibilities:

  • Assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, and communication challenges
  • Develop and implement IEPs and therapy plans tailored to each student’s needs
  • Deliver direct and consultative SLP services at both school and home locations
  • Document progress and maintain compliance with all required regulations
  • Engage positively with families, teachers, and school teams to promote student success
