Skilled school psychologists are needed to provide vital educational assessments and collaborate with dynamic teams to support student success for the full 2026-2027 school year. This part-time, contract role (29 hours/week) is based on-site, with consideration for hybrid flexibility. The district values a timely start, with professional development beginning July 27, 2026, and interviews taking place the week of July 22.

Your expertise will make a real difference as you:

  • Serve as an integral member of a multidisciplinary team, conducting psychoeducational evaluations and adhering to IDEA compliance.
  • Deliver comprehensive written reports and clearly interpret assessment outcomes to parents, teachers, and school administrators.
  • Maintain meticulous case records and documentation to ensure continuity of services and accountability.
  • Participate in planning and implementing tailored educational and behavioral interventions in collaboration with school staff and families.
  • Explain assessment processes, results, and recommendations to diverse audiences.
  • Provide information and referrals to support whole-child and family needs.
  • Support professional growth through in-service training with educators and families.

Ideal candidates will bring:

  • Active Louisiana DOE School Psychology certification.
  • Prior experience conducting K-12 psychoeducational assessments and collaborating within school-based multidisciplinary teams.
  • Familiarity with special education eligibility, state and federal guidelines, and effective evaluation reporting.
  • Strong organizational skills and a meticulous approach to meeting deadlines and documentation requirements.
  • Clear, empathetic communication skills, with a bilingual background considered a valuable asset.
  • Ability to quickly complete district-required credentialing, including background checks and fingerprinting.
