School Occupational Therapist - Essex, Maryland

Qualifications:

• Current license as an Occupational Therapist in Maryland
• Experience in school-based OT, home health, or pediatric healthcare settings preferred
• Strong communication, assessment, and documentation skills
• Ability to adapt therapy techniques to individual student needs
• Enthusiasm for working collaboratively with educators, support staff, and families

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct and consultative OT services tailored to each student’s IEP/504 plan
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, targeting fine motor, sensory processing, and self-care skills
• Conduct evaluations, collect data, and document progress in accordance with district and legal requirements
• Collaborate with teachers and other school personnel to promote student participation and access throughout their school day
• Offer training and strategies to staff and caregivers to reinforce skills at school and home
