Special Education Teacher in Quakertown, PA

Key Qualifications:

• Active Pennsylvania Teaching Certificate required by the start date.
• Emergency permits are supported if needed through the HR department.
• Previous experience working in special education (elementary, middle, or high school) is highly valued.
• Deep commitment to fostering inclusive and supportive classroom environments.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each student's unique needs.
• Deliver targeted instruction in Autistic Support or Learning Support settings, depending on placement.
• Assess student progress, maintain accurate documentation, and adapt teaching strategies as necessary.
• Collaborate with general education teachers and related service providers to ensure holistic support.
• Engage parents and guardians in their child’s educational journey.
• Contribute positively to a caring, mission-driven school community.

Assignment Details:

• Contract runs August 24, 2026 – June 10, 2027.
• Full-time, 35 hours per week.
• School hours vary:
  Elementary: 8:15 am – 3:45 pm
  Middle: 7:15 am – 2:45 pm
  High: 7:13 am – 2:43 pm
