You'll work within both elementary and middle school classrooms, partnering with dedicated support staff to provide the best education and care for exceptional learners.

Desired Experience & Qualifications:

• Active Special Education Teacher certification in the applicable state
• Previous experience working in special education settings, preferably with elementary and/or middle school students
• Strong communication and collaboration abilities
• Compassion, patience, and a positive attitude in working with students
• Comfortable assisting with toileting and willing to learn feeding tube procedures (training available)
• Ability to create tailored lesson plans and modifications as needed

Role Highlights:

• Elementary classroom with a small caseload (6 students), supported by a Teaching Assistant and Behavior Technician
• Middle school classroom with 11 students and a highly collaborative team: one certified teacher, three full-time teaching assistants, and a 1:1 assistant for specialized support
• Provide academic instruction, individualized support, and management of IEP goals
• Address toileting needs as necessary, while maintaining a respectful and safe environment
• Collaborate closely with support staff to maximize student engagement and success
• Maintain positive, open communication with students, families, and colleagues
