Key Details:

  • Contract duration: August 26, 2026 – June 3, 2027
  • Schedule: Full-time, 7:30AM – 2:21PM
  • One position available
  • Caseload: Junior high students with a focus on general education
  • Interview process: 30-minute interviews for candidates

Desired Qualifications:

  • Valid and active Illinois teaching license and certification
  • CTE (Career and Technical Education) endorsement required
  • Demonstrated experience in a school-based setting
  • Strong classroom management and organizational skills
  • Ability to connect and communicate effectively with adolescent learners
  • Committed to fostering a collaborative, inclusive classroom atmosphere

Core Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging, standards-based instruction to junior high students
  • Develop, implement, and adapt lesson plans to meet diverse student needs
  • Maintain a welcoming, safe, and productive classroom environment
  • Monitor student progress and provide timely feedback
  • Collaborate with colleagues, support staff, and administration to promote student success
  • Participate in school meetings, professional development, and ongoing training
  • Communicate regularly with parents/guardians regarding student progress
