This full-time contract role runs from early August 2026 through late May 2027, aligning with the school district calendar. What we're looking for:
- Active, valid Louisiana Department of Education teaching certification (required; Temporary Authority to Teach not accepted)
- Proven classroom experience teaching high school ELA within a general education setting
- Strong content knowledge in English Language Arts, best practices in literacy instruction, and differentiated learning
- Ability to cultivate an engaging, inclusive classroom culture where all students can thrive
- Compliance with district-specific credentialing requirements, including drug screening and fingerprinting
- Readiness to work full-time: 35 hours per week, Monday through Friday, 7 hours per day (plus a 30-minute unpaid lunch), following the school calendar
Your key responsibilities:
