Job Description
Bring your nursing expertise to a dynamic school environment, supporting K-12 students throughout the academic year! This full-time floater nurse opportunity will have you working across multiple campuses, all conveniently located within approximately six miles of one another. You will help ensure students’ well-being by collaborating with school staff and providing essential health services during regular school hours, Monday through Friday, from 8 AM to 4 PM.
This contract role begins August 17, 2026, and concludes on June 18, 2027. Candidates holding an active Massachusetts LPN or RN license are welcome to apply. You’ll thrive on variety as you commute to different campuses, offering care wherever it’s needed most.
Desired Qualifications:
- Current Massachusetts license as a Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
- Prior experience working in a school-based setting
- Strong adaptation skills and comfort providing care in K-12 environments
- Reliable transportation to travel between campuses (all within a 6-mile range)
- Willingness and ability to work onsite as required; no remote or alternative schedules
- Successful completion of fingerprinting and CORI background check
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver nursing care to students at multiple nearby campuses as a fill-in/float nurse
- Administer medications, first aid, and manage health plans for chronic conditions
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, educators, and support staff
- Maintain accurate and diligent health records per school and state protocols
- Promote student health, safety, and wellness across all grade levels
