Job Title: Soldering Technician / Bath & Furnace Technician
Company: A well-known electronic test tool brand (disclosed on screening call)
Duration: 6-Month Contract-to-Hire
Pay Rate: $28-$32/hr
Location: Everett, WA
Schedule: 7am - 3:30pm


Must-Haves:

  • 2-3+ years of mechanical experience
  • Experience in HVAC, electromechanical assembly, service technician, or similar hands-on technical role
  • Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills
  • Experience with mechanical soldering/brazing and tubing assembly
  • Tube bending experience
  • Leak detection and leak testing experience
  • Electrical troubleshooting and wiring experience
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics
  • Experience working with PCB boards and electronic components
  • Experience replacing and repairing PCB board components
  • Understanding of temperature control systems and thermodynamic principles
  • ERP system experience
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
  • U.S. Citizen or Green Card Holder
  • Ability to pass a drug screening


Plusses:

  • Hazardous waste handling experience
  • Experience working with ethylene or propane systems
  • Relevant technical certifications
  • Experience with laboratory baths, furnaces, generators, or temperature calibration equipment
  • HVAC certifications


Day-to-Day:

  • Assemble, troubleshoot, repair, and test bath and furnace systems
  • Perform tube bending, tubing installation, and mechanical soldering/brazing
  • Conduct leak checks and diagnose leaks within complex systems
  • Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and electromechanical components
  • Repair and replace PCB board components as needed
  • Wire and install electrical components and interface displays
  • Work with hot and cold temperature-controlled bath systems
  • Support generators and related thermal equipment
  • Utilize ERP systems to document work and maintain records
  • Follow safety protocols, including hazardous materials procedures
  • Perform quality inspections and functional testing before products are released


Job Description:

Insight Global is seeking a Soldering Technician / Bath & Furnace Technician for Fluke, a leading provider of precision measurement and calibration equipment. This individual will be responsible for supporting highly technical bath and furnace systems that require a combination of mechanical, electrical, and troubleshooting expertise. The ideal candidate will have experience similar to an HVAC technician, with strong knowledge of tubing systems, leak detection, soldering, wiring, schematics, PCB boards, and temperature control systems. This role involves hands-on repair, assembly, and testing of electromechanical equipment, making it a great opportunity for someone who enjoys solving complex technical problems and is looking for a long-term contract-to-hire opportunity with minimal training required.
