Make a significant impact in the field of special education in a full-time, contract-based position supporting students with developmental cognitive disabilities and autism spectrum disorders. This opportunity runs from August 31, 2026, to June 4, 2027, and is tailored for a dedicated professional who is passionate about transforming the learning experience for students in a Setting 3 classroom environment.

Key Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • Current special education teaching license (Tier 3 or 4) with a required endorsement in Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) or Developmental Cognitive Disabilities (DCD); ABS license considered, but preference for EBD or ASD licensure.
  • Demonstrated background working with elementary school students, specifically those with DCD and ASD.
  • Strong classroom management abilities, particularly in Setting 3 environments.
  • Familiarity with effective instructional strategies and positive behavioral supports catering to students with emotional or behavioral disorders.
  • Excellent team collaboration and communication skills.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Provide specialized instruction and support to a caseload of approximately 6-10 students in a dedicated Setting 3 classroom.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each student’s needs and goals.
  • Foster an inclusive environment that encourages student growth and success.
  • Collaborate with fellow educators, related service providers, and families to ensure comprehensive student support.
  • Maintain accurate records, progress reports, and compliance with all relevant educational standards and protocols.

Key Details:

  • Full-time contract, 37.5 hours per week throughout the academic year.
  • Single-building assignment for focused support and consistency with your students.
