Job Description
Step into a rewarding contract opportunity as a Speech-Language Pathologist, supporting K-12 students across multiple school sites near the Thousand Oaks area. Key Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Valid California SLP license and ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC)
- Experience or strong interest in working with K-12 populations preferred
- Excellent communication and documentation skills
- Ability to manage a caseload of approximately 65 students across 2-3 school sites
- Capacity to provide typical direct and indirect SLP services, including participation in IEP processes
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver comprehensive speech-language assessments and evidence-based therapy sessions
- Develop individualized education plans (IEPs) in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
- Track and document student progress, maintaining organized and timely records
- Support the schools’ use of their IEP system, with training provided as needed
- Utilize dedicated therapy space to facilitate effective services
- Participate in required administrative activities, including team meetings (with indirect hours and admin time provided)
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and staff to optimize student outcomes
- At this time, onsite presence is highly preferred to foster engagement and build relationships, though some flexibility may be considered
This contract role offers a consistent, full-time schedule of 40 hours per week within a supportive district environment, managing a reasonable caseload so you have time for both direct service and collaboration.
