A local school setting is seeking a dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) or Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to support 21 high schoolers through engaging, individualized services. This position begins August 6th, 2026, and continues through May 26th, 2027, offering 24 hours per week in a collaborative and student-focused environment near Montgomery, AL.

Qualifications and Preferred Experience:

  • Current, active state licensure as an SLP or SLPA
  • Experience or strong interest working with high school-aged students
  • Familiarity with IEP processes and ability to document progress efficiently
  • Excellent communication skills for interacting with students, teachers, and families
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a multidisciplinary team
  • School-based experience preferred, though enthusiastic new graduates are encouraged to apply

Role Expectations:

  • Provide direct speech-language pathology services to 21 high school students
  • Plan and deliver effective, individualized 1-hour sessions each week per student, as outlined in their education plans
  • Keep organized records of therapy, assessments, and student progress
  • Coordinate and consult with school staff and families as needed
