Embark on a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students as an Occupational Therapist near Waterbury, CT. This full-time role covers multiple school sites for a district-wide need, providing vital therapy services to help students thrive throughout the fall. With a set Monday–Friday schedule and on-site responsibilities, you’ll collaborate with education professionals in a dynamic school environment.

Qualifications:

  • Active Occupational Therapy license in the state of Connecticut
  • Recent experience with school-based occupational therapy
  • Strong understanding of pediatric therapy interventions
  • Ability to efficiently manage travel between several school locations
  • Excellent communication, organization, and collaboration skills
  • Commitment to meeting individual student goals and IEP mandates

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver evaluations, develop treatment plans, and provide direct OT services
  • Collaborate with teachers and special education staff on student progress
  • Maintain accurate documentation and contribute to IEP meetings
  • Travel between assigned schools (within one district) as scheduled
  • Communicate regularly with families and caregivers about student progress
  • Remain current with professional best practices and state regulations
  • Support a positive, inclusive school culture
