Job Description
Embark on a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students as an Occupational Therapist near Waterbury, CT. This full-time role covers multiple school sites for a district-wide need, providing vital therapy services to help students thrive throughout the fall. With a set Monday–Friday schedule and on-site responsibilities, you’ll collaborate with education professionals in a dynamic school environment.
Qualifications:
- Active Occupational Therapy license in the state of Connecticut
- Recent experience with school-based occupational therapy
- Strong understanding of pediatric therapy interventions
- Ability to efficiently manage travel between several school locations
- Excellent communication, organization, and collaboration skills
- Commitment to meeting individual student goals and IEP mandates
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver evaluations, develop treatment plans, and provide direct OT services
- Collaborate with teachers and special education staff on student progress
- Maintain accurate documentation and contribute to IEP meetings
- Travel between assigned schools (within one district) as scheduled
- Communicate regularly with families and caregivers about student progress
- Remain current with professional best practices and state regulations
- Support a positive, inclusive school culture
