Desired skills and qualifications:
- Active Speech-Language Pathology license and ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP)
- Prior experience supporting children in a K-12 school setting
- Strong knowledge of best practices for assessment, IEP planning, and therapeutic intervention
- Exceptional communication and collaboration skills
- Flexibility and professionalism in adapting to a school-based workflow
- Familiarity with school district compliance guidelines preferred
What you’ll do:
- Conduct speech, language, and communication assessments to identify student needs
- Develop individualized treatment plans and contribute to IEP meetings
- Deliver engaging therapy sessions individually or in small groups
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to support student progress
- Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with district and federal mandates
- Participate in school-wide initiatives to promote inclusive communication
- Adapt strategies to best meet the evolving needs of students
