JOB SUMMARY
An established integrated health organization is seeking a full-time experienced BC/BE Family Medicine or Internal Medicine Physician (MD/DO) with hospital and emergency room experience. This candidate will work in our family/urgent care clinic with multiple locations in the Jacksonville, Florida area. The selected candidate will be energetic, motivated, and comfortable performing and supervising intravenous infusion therapy. Experience in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine is required.
JOB DESCRIPTION
Examine, diagnose, and treat patients of all ages for acute injuries, infections, and illnesses.
Counsel and educate patients and families regarding acute and chronic conditions, medical concerns, and preventive health.
Formulate diagnostic and treatment plans.
Prescribe and administer medications, therapies, suturing, and splinting.
Order laboratory and imaging studies to determine and manage immediate treatment plans and provide follow-up care recommendations.
Refer patients to specialists or higher levels of care when appropriate.
Complete all documentation and medical records accurately and in a timely manner within the electronic medical record (EMR).
Supervise assigned advanced practice providers (NPs/PAs) and nursing staff, review quality of care, and sign off on patient charts as required.
Deliver exceptional patient care and customer service.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Valid Florida Medical License
Florida DEA (if applicable) and Federal DEA Registration
Current Driver's License
Board Certified or Board Eligible in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine
Comfortable providing on-site intravenous infusion therapy
5+ years of post-residency experience preferred; urgent care and outpatient clinic experience strongly preferred
Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
Bilingual English/Spanish preferred
Authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis for any employer
Successful completion of TB testing and vaccinations required by company policy
JOB LOCATION / HOURS
This position is based in Jacksonville, Florida, with multiple clinic locations throughout the Jacksonville area. We offer a professional, fast-paced environment with a continuously growing team.
Monday-Friday
8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Work hours may occasionally vary based on patient volume and operational needs.
Candidates may occasionally be required to work at other affiliated clinic locations within the Jacksonville metropolitan area.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English; additional languages are a plus.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to counsel patients, educate families, and build strong relationships with colleagues and the community.
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret professional journals, medical literature, financial reports, and legal documents.
Ability to respond effectively to inquiries from patients, regulatory agencies, and members of the medical and business community.
Ability to present information professionally to leadership, community groups, and healthcare organizations.
Ability to apply logical and scientific thinking to complex medical situations and make sound clinical decisions.
Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems and standard clinical documentation practices.
