Role Description This full-time, on-site Primary Care Physician role is based in Birmingham, AL. The physician will provide comprehensive primary care services, including preventive care, chronic disease management, and acute care for a diverse patient population. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting patient exams, reviewing medical histories, ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, developing treatment plans, and coordinating care with other healthcare professionals. The role also involves educating patients and families on health maintenance, documenting encounters in the electronic health record, and participating in quality improvement and value-based care initiatives. The physician will work closely with clinical and administrative staff to ensure efficient, patient-centered care delivery.

Qualifications

Strong clinical skills in Primary Care and Family Medicine, with experience managing a broad range of adult and geriatric health conditions.

Ability to provide timely Urgent Care within the primary care setting, including evaluation and treatment of acute illnesses and minor emergencies.

Comprehensive knowledge of general Medicine principles and evidence-based guidelines relevant to primary care practice.

Experience working as a Primary Care Physician in outpatient settings, with focus on continuity of care and preventive services.

Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution and completion of an accredited residency in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine.

Current, unrestricted medical license in the state of Alabama (or eligibility to obtain) and Board Certification or Board Eligibility in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine.

Proficiency with electronic health records and comfort working in a technology-enabled, value-based care environment.

Strong interpersonal, communication, and teamwork skills, with a commitment to patient-centered, culturally sensitive care.
