\nHourly Non-Exempt\n

\nEssential Functions\n
\n
\nMaintains vehicles, which may include company's fleet of passenger cars, trucks, heavy equipment, tractor/trailers, etc.\n
\nPerforms routine and preventative maintenance including oil changes and tune-ups\n
\nPerforms tests on specific parts and systems to ensure proper function\n
\nIdentifies mechanical problems either visually or with computer diagnostic equipment\n
\nRepairs or replaces malfunctioning parts and systems such as brake pads, belts, water pumps, transmissions, and other mechanical parts\n
\nTest drives vehicles to confirm safe and proper operation\n
\nMust have excellent attendance record and be punctual\n
\nAdhere to all safety regulations including company policies, State, and Federal regulations; actively engage with employees to reinforce safe behaviors\n
\nResponsible for reporting all incidents/injuries to management as soon as they occur\n
\nOther duties as assigned\n
\nEducation\n
\n
\nHigh School Diploma or equivalent\n
\n
\nEmployment Requirements/Qualifications\n
\n
\nTwo years of related experience preferred\n
\nPossession of a valid driver license\n
\nAbility to pass a drug screen\n
\nExtensive knowledge of all aspects of vehicle repair\n
\nExcellent mechanical repair skills\n
\nAbility to read service and repair manuals\n
\nProficient with computer diagnostic equipment and software\n
\nMust have the physical ability to: climb, stoop, bend, squat, twist, frequently lift up to 50 lbs., stretch, drive/sit\n
\nProficient dexterity with both hands\n
\nAdhere to all safety regulations including company policies, State, and Federal regulations\n
\nMust be able to work a flexible schedule with flexible hours, hours vary; overtime work, Saturdays and nights, may be required\n
\n
\nWorking Conditions\n
\n
\nWorks in mechanics garage most of the time exposed to noise and odors; however, occasionally the job may be required to be performed outside providing exposure to various weather conditions ranging from extreme heat and cold, rain, snow, ice and wind\n
\nExposure to people in various types of emotional conditions\n
\nExposure to all types of terrain ranging from uneven, slippery, and soft ground
