Project Manager I
Job Description
SUMMARY:
\nThe position of Project Manager I is a professional individual who reviews project requests and provides services for projects, including but not limited to, planning, execution, and delivery of projects within scope in accordance with the Project Management Office (PMO) Policy. Throughout the lifecycle of each major project, the individual tracks project status, provides reports and manages project teams to mitigate issues and risks.
\nThe Project Manager I acts as an intermediary between the business community and the technical community working with project teams and business associates to collect, clarify, and translate business requirements of projects for the team in order to prioritize and move projects forward.
\nESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
\nLeads and Manages Moderate to High-Risk size projects
\nCollaboration with business partners and lines of business across the company to gain understanding of current processes, pain points and needs, then identify requirements, process improvements, inefficiencies, needs and/or value streams
\nVerify defined requirements and goals align with corporate strategy as well as corporate initiatives (i.e. Service Excellence) and overall Bank goals
\nReview and validate scope, goals and objectives of initiatives based on level of complexity, risk, and technology
\nInterfaces with the Executive Team and Line of Business owners to understand short term and long-term goals/needs of the business
\nConsults on the delivery of solutions, coordinates and communicates status, issues and resolution plans.
\nWork closely with stakeholders and project management personnel during the lifecycle of projects.
\nWorks iteratively. Recommends method and procedural changes.
\nServes as a key resource on complex and/or critical issues.
\nAssist work group leaders for conversions and acquisitions as needed. Includes working very closely with other project team members; completing project tasks as assigned; track progress; escalate as required.
\nAnalyzing and evaluating the current business processes, including large and complex amounts of data, identifying areas of improvement, researching solutions.
\nResearching and reviewing up-to-date business processes and new advancements to make systems more efficient and effective.
\nAnalyzing needs, identifying the clear root cause of process issues.
\nClear and effective communication skills. Has the ability to present ideas and findings in meetings or via written communication in a concise manner which can be understood by less technical associates.
\nCompletes annual compliance courses.
\nAdheres specifically to all corporate policies and procedures. Also adheres to Federal and State regulations and laws; including, the Bank Secrecy Act and the Anti-Money Laundering Act.
\nAdheres to all levels of our Service Excellence standards.
\nPerforms other duties as required.
\n\nGENERAL QUALIFICATIONS:
\nBachelor’s degree in business or related field; or the equivalent combination of education and experience. Work related experience should consist of duties in a business environment. Educational experience, through in-house training sessions, formal school, or financial industry related curriculum, should be business or financial industry related.
\n3+ years of project management, organization, and team collaboration skills with excellent written and verbal communication skills
\nExcellent facilitation, collaboration, negotiation, and presentation skills
\nAbility to anticipate risks and devise solutions in the moment
\nComfort with ambiguity, frequent change, or unpredictability
\nStrong team leadership skills; strong knowledge of business objectives; strong analytical skills applied to understanding business functionality and translating them into application requirements
\nExcellent understanding of business complexity and project interdependencies
\nIntellectual curiosity and the ability to question thought partners across functional areas
\nAbility to adapt quickly to new technologies and changing business requirements
\nOutstanding written and verbal communication skills
\nAbility to quickly troubleshoot problems that may arise &ability to partner with team members to identify course of resolutions
\nExperience required with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, OneNote)

PREFFERED QUALIFICATIONS:
\nExperience with Monday.com is a plus
\nProject management certification or equivalent preferred
\nUnderstanding of project management concepts with several years of banking experience preferred
\nGeneral knowledge of banking operations
\nExperience in managing IT & Business focused projects
\n\n
Physical Demands/Work Environment: Vision, hearing, speech, dexterity, visual concentration. A valid driver’s license is required. Must have the ability to stand, walk, sit, and use hands and fingers. Must have the ability to work the hours and days required to complete the essential functions of the position, as scheduled. The environment is a professional office with standard office equipment.
