Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Pharmacist in Charge experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Step into a leadership role as a Pharmacist-in-Charge (PIC) within a specialized sterile compounding facility based in Las Vegas, Nevada. This direct hire opportunity calls for an experienced pharmacy professional to manage and oversee all facets of sterile compounding operations, ensuring full adherence to regulatory standards and supporting the growth of an innovative healthcare segment.
Location: Las Vegas, Nevada
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Responsibilities include:
- Serving as the designated PIC, upholding compliance with USP <797>, USP <800>, FDA, and state pharmacy board regulations
- Managing sterile compounding workflow, personnel supervision, and quality assurance programs
- Ensuring multi-state regulatory compliance, with specific attention to California and other non-resident state requirements
- Maintaining and enforcing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for sterile compounding activities
- Leading the recruitment, training, and supervision of pharmacists and pharmacy technicians
- Preparing for and managing inspections, audits, and regulatory interactions
- Overseeing environmental monitoring, validation processes, and comprehensive documentation
- Safeguarding the proper handling, storage, and dispensing of compounded sterile preparations
- Collaborating in strategic operational planning, expansion initiatives, and licensing processes
- Maintaining accurate, inspection-ready records
Desired Qualifications:
- PharmD or equivalent degree from an accredited pharmacy school
- Active pharmacist license in Nevada and California (or in progress)
- Additional state licenses are highly desirable, with willingness to obtain as needed
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in sterile compounding preferred
- Prior experience as Pharmacist-in-Charge or pharmacy manager strongly preferred
- Expert knowledge of USP <797>, USP <800>, and sterile compounding regulations
- Experience navigating multi-state pharmacy operations and non-resident licensure
- Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills
- Experience in 503A or 503B compounding environments is advantageous
