An exciting opportunity is available for experienced pharmacists specializing in hospital inpatient care, seeking flexible travel assignments on the California Central Coast. This role offers the chance to deliver essential pharmaceutical services at healthcare facilities located in San Luis Obispo and Templeton, California.

Responsibilities include order verification, supervising pharmacy technicians, consulting with physicians and nursing staff, and engaging in pharmacokinetics activities to optimize patient care. The position requires strong familiarity with hospital inpatient pharmacy protocols and integrated healthcare technologies, particularly Cerner, Omnicell, and EPIC systems.

Schedule options accommodate different preferences:

  • Day shifts: 4 ten-hour shifts per week
  • Night shifts: Seven consecutive nights on followed by seven nights off

This opportunity is ideal for licensed California pharmacists with at least one year of recent inpatient experience, comfortable navigating advanced electronic health records and medication management platforms.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • Active California pharmacist license
  • Minimum 1 year of inpatient hospital pharmacy experience
  • Proficiency with EPIC and Cerner electronic health record systems
  • Experience using Omnicell automated dispensing systems
  • Strong clinical and communication skills to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams

  • San Luis Obispo and Templeton, California
