Job Description
Make a lasting impact working directly with students as a Special Education Teacher in an engaging and supportive school environment. This full-time, onsite opportunity begins August 24, 2026, and concludes June 10, 2027. Multiple positions are available: four at the elementary level and one at the middle school level, each offering a 35-hour work week. You’ll be part of a dynamic educational team centered around fostering growth and achievement for exceptional learners.
What We’re Looking For:
- Demonstrated mastery in special education content, with effective instructional skills and utilization of relevant resource materials.
- Ability to create and deliver lesson plans aligned with current Pennsylvania state and district standards, incorporating ongoing formative assessment and tailored differentiation.
- Valid, active Pennsylvania teaching certification or licensure for your assigned caseload.
- Bachelor's degree required (for those seeking an emergency teaching permit).
- Proven prior experience working in a school setting, preferably within an urban environment.
- Strong classroom presence, with excellent behavioral management techniques.
- PA clearances completed or willingness to obtain.
- Reliable transportation for daily commute.
- Availability to work onsite Monday–Friday, between 8:30 AM and 4:00 PM; schedule cannot be modified.
- Comfort with working in a district urban setting and quickly adapting to new locations.
