Empower students to reach their full potential in a supportive educational environment as a Special Education Teacher for the upcoming academic year. This in-person position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference for learners by providing either Life Skills Self-Contained instruction or Instructional/Resource support, starting August 17, 2026, and concluding May 27, 2027. You will work a full-time schedule of approximately 33.25 hours each week.

Key Qualifications:

  • Valid and active Professional Educator License (PEL) required; please submit a current copy with your application
  • Special Education endorsement necessary
  • Experience or demonstrated passion for working with students in special education settings
  • Adaptability and a collaborative approach within a multidisciplinary team
  • Strong communication skills with students, families, and staff
  • Ability to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)

Responsibilities:

  • Provide specialized instruction in either a Life Skills Self-Contained classroom or as an Instructional/Resource Teacher (please specify which role you are interested in when applying)
  • Establish a safe, positive, and inclusive learning environment
  • Collaborate with fellow educators, support staff, and families to ensure student success
  • Develop and monitor IEPs in compliance with state and federal guidelines
  • Utilize differentiated instructional strategies to address the individual needs of students
  • Participate in professional development and team meetings as required
