Job Description
ProCare Therapy is seeking a dedicated and qualified Special Education Teacher with an Extensive Support Needs (ESN) Credential for the 2026–2027 school year in Milpitas, CA. This full-time position offers the opportunity to support students in a collaborative Moderate/Severe classroom while making a meaningful impact on young learners with extensive support needs.
This assignment is for the full 2026–2027 school year and provides the opportunity to work alongside a highly supportive team in a well-equipped classroom designed to promote student growth, independence, and success.
Work Schedule:
Full-Time
8:00 AM – 1:30 PM Direct Student Services
Prep time after students leave
August 13, 2026 – June 8, 2027
Classroom Setting:
1st–3rd Grade Extensive Support Needs (ESN) / Moderate-Severe Special Day Classroom
4 additional adults providing classroom support
Dedicated sensory room available on site
Qualifications:
Valid California Education Specialist Credential with Extensive Support Needs (ESN) Authorization required
Experience working with Moderate/Severe populations preferred
Strong communication, collaboration, and classroom management skills
Knowledge of special education compliance, IEP development, and implementation
Ability to create structured, supportive, and inclusive learning environments
Commitment to supporting students with diverse academic, behavioral, and functional needs
Key Responsibilities:
Provide specialized instruction aligned with IEP goals and California state standards
Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
Collaborate with families, related service providers, administrators, and general education staff
Implement evidence-based academic, behavioral, and functional interventions
Support students' communication, social-emotional, academic, and daily living skills
Collect and maintain accurate student progress data and documentation
Participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team collaboration
Create a structured, positive, and inclusive classroom environment
