Empower your passion for education and make a meaningful difference as a Special Education Teacher! Multiple contract opportunities are available for experienced educators who are dedicated to supporting students with diverse learning needs in elementary, middle, or high school settings.
Openings include one Autistic Support teaching position at the elementary level, one Learning Support role at the middle school level, and four Learning Support roles at the high school level. All positions are based near Quakertown, PA and will span the academic year from August 24, 2026, through June 10, 2027. Your commitment will be 35 hours per week, following specific school schedules for each grade level:
- Elementary: 8:15 AM – 3:45 PM
- Middle: 7:15 AM – 2:45 PM
- High School: 7:13 AM – 2:43 PM
Key Qualifications:
- Active Pennsylvania Teaching Certificate required by start date (HR sponsorship for emergency permits available)
- Previous experience in special education or student teaching in special education classrooms
- Skill in developing and implementing individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Strong communication and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams, parents, and students
- Dedication to fostering an inclusive classroom environment
Responsibilities:
- Create and modify lesson plans tailored to each student’s abilities
- Assess student progress and adjust teaching strategies accordingly
- Maintain accurate records and participate in IEP meetings
- Collaborate with general education teachers and support staff
- Encourage student growth, life skills, and independence
