School Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) | Detroit, Michigan

Embark on a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students as a Speech-Language Pathologist for the upcoming academic year. This full-time role runs from August 24, 2026, through June 16, 2027, with a consistent Monday through Friday schedule from 8:30 am to 3:30 pm (32.5 hours per week, with an unpaid 30-minute lunch break). You'll play a significant part in making a meaningful difference in a school-based environment near Detroit, MI.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Possession of current SLP-CCC (Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology)
• Previous experience working in a school setting preferred
• Strong understanding of IEPs, assessments, and the delivery of direct and consultative services
• Ability to collaborate professionally with teachers, staff, families, and students
• Excellent communication, organization, and documentation skills

Primary Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive speech and language therapy to students as specified in their IEPs
• Conduct assessments, develop therapy goals, and document progress
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support students’ academic and social success
• Consult with teachers and caregivers, offering resources and strategies to facilitate communication skills
• Participate in IEP meetings and maintain compliance with all school, district, and federal guidelines
