Job Description
Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students’ communication growth, both onsite in a school setting and with students receiving homebound instruction. This engaging role offers flexibility with both full-time and part-time schedules available (up to 37.5 hours per week, Monday through Friday), providing vital Speech-Language Pathology services within a supportive educational community.
You’ll collaborate closely with educators and families, delivering assessment and therapy to a diverse caseload that adapts throughout the year. While the primary workspace is a school building, you’ll also make a meaningful impact by occasionally supporting homebound students – a limited, but essential function of this position. Your work will allow every student, regardless of their circumstances, to access the communication support they need.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Current, valid DE SLP license (required for submission)
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC)
- Experience in a school-based setting strongly preferred
- Capacity to provide direct therapy and collaborate as part of an interdisciplinary team
- Compassion, flexibility, and strong communication skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop individualized treatment plans
- Deliver high-quality speech and language therapy to students in both school and homebound settings
- Keep detailed session notes and monitor student progress
- Work in partnership with teachers, families, and support staff to ensure holistic student progress
- Flexibly manage a caseload that varies during the contract term
