Job Description
Step into a dynamic educational environment as a valued part-time Physical Therapist, working onsite to support student success throughout the 2026-2027 academic year. Your weekly schedule will consist of 20 hours, Monday through Friday, within the 8am–4:30pm window, providing a consistent and balanced work-life integration. Desired qualifications:
- Current and valid license to practice Physical Therapy in the state
- Previous experience in a school or pediatric setting preferred
- Strong understanding of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and their implementation
- Ability to lead, mentor, and supervise Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (SLPAs)
- Excellent communication, organizational, and documentation skills
Key responsibilities:
- Oversee the daily and ongoing work of SLPAs, providing professional guidance and support
- Design and deliver evidence-based individual and group therapy sessions aligned with each student's IEP speech and language goals
- Use diverse strategies and interventions to help each child progress toward their objectives
- Conduct regular progress evaluations and determine student readiness for transition or conclusion of therapeutic services
- Collaborate with educators, families, and other specialists to create a comprehensive approach for each student's growth
