Job Description
Step into a rewarding part-time opportunity as a dedicated professional within the school setting, providing vital physical therapy support to students in an engaging and supportive environment. This onsite contract position spans the academic year, from August 11th, 2026, through May 25th, 2027, offering a fulfilling schedule of 20 hours per week, Monday through Friday between approximately 8:00 am and 4:30 pm.
In this role, your expertise will make a meaningful impact:
Qualifications & Experience:
• Valid licensure and credentials for practicing as a Physical Therapist in educational settings
• Prior experience in schools or pediatric physical therapy strongly preferred
• Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams
• Strong skills in supervising support personnel, such as SLPAs
• Excellent communication, organizational, and documentation abilities
Key Responsibilities:
• Oversee and guide SLPA staff in alignment with best practices and established protocols
• Develop, implement, and adjust individualized and group therapy programs for students, directly reflecting IEP speech and language goals
• Conduct regular assessments to measure students’ progress, documenting outcomes and communicating with team members and families as appropriate
• Collaborate with teachers and school-based teams to ensure integrated support for each student
• Make informed recommendations regarding initiation, continuation, and termination of therapy services based on student progress and data
