Job Description
Step into a pivotal leadership role supporting middle school students for the 2026–2027 academic year as an Evaluation Team Leader. This full-time, onsite opportunity is designed for education professionals who are passionate about ensuring compliance with special education regulations and want to make a significant impact in a diverse learning environment.
As an Evaluation Team Leader, you will:
- Coordinate and facilitate all aspects of M.G.L. 71B and 603 CMR 28.00 Special Education Regulations for assigned middle schools.
- Act as the primary liaison between families, teachers, principals, and community agencies to strengthen the delivery of special education services.
- Oversee the completion and accuracy of all Individualized Education Plans (IEPs).
- Attend scheduled professional development sessions to stay current on best practices and compliance standards.
- Report directly to leadership in Exceptional Learning and Related Services, collaborating closely with building administration.
Candidate Profile:
- Holds at least a Bachelor’s Degree in Education or a related field from an accredited institution.
- Possesses valid Massachusetts certification as a Teacher for Students with Moderate Disabilities (preferred), DESE certification, or other relevant licensure.
- Brings a minimum of three years’ successful public school experience, ideally with professional training in special education, counseling, guidance, or psychology.
- Demonstrates strong communication and organizational skills, with an empathetic approach to supporting students and families from diverse backgrounds.
- Prepared to pass a drug screen, undergo fingerprinting, and complete a background/CORI check.
