Qualifications & Experience:

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
  • Current Illinois SLP license and ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) or eligibility
  • Previous experience (internship or professional) working with school-aged children preferred
  • Strong communication and relationship-building abilities with students, faculty, and families
  • Familiarity with IEP process and special education documentation

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess, diagnose, and provide intervention for speech, language, and communication disorders
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address specific student needs
  • Collaborate with classroom teachers, special education staff, and parents to support student success
  • Complete necessary documentation and progress reports in compliance with district and state guidelines
  • Participate in IEP meetings to help tailor educational goals and strategies
  • Adapt therapy techniques to be engaging and age-appropriate
