Passionate about supporting students with visual impairments? A full-time opportunity is available for a Teachers of the Visually Impaired (TVI) with OMS certification to provide both direct and consultative services across multiple schools in the Clermont region. The assignment spans the 2026–2027 school year, with a dedicated home base at the district office and travel between 13 school locations (serving 2-3 each day). Flexibility is prioritized—the district will partner with you to build a manageable and effective weekly schedule.

You’ll work onsite with K-12 students, supporting a caseload of 15–20 across both individual and indirect consultative sessions. Some services are required only once per month, allowing for a structured and varied day. This is an in-person, itinerant contract role, ideal for those who thrive in dynamic educational settings.

Qualifications:

• Valid Florida Professional TVI (Teachers of the Visually Impaired) license
• OMS certification (Orientation & Mobility Specialist) required
• School-based experience strongly preferred, though talented newcomers will be considered
• Ability to manage multiple sites and adapt to the needs of various students and staff
• Strong communication and organizational skills

Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct and indirect visual impairment services to K-12 students
• Develop and implement individualized programs and instruction
• Consult with staff and families, providing resources and training
• Organize and maintain student records/documentation as required
• Travel to assigned school sites, using the district office as a home base

Contract begins August 10, 2026 and ends May 28, 2027; full-time, 35 weekly hours with an 8:00am–3:30pm workday. The district has a streamlined onboarding process requiring specific documentation and credentials—time-sensitive action will be essential.
