This full-time contract opportunity runs from August 24, 2026, to June 10, 2027, offering 37.5 hours per week with a focus on fostering literacy growth and mastery at the elementary level.

Key Qualifications:

• Holds an active Pennsylvania reading specialist certification.
• Demonstrates mastery of reading instruction, with strong knowledge of subject content and relevant resource materials.
• Proven experience teaching or supporting students in a school-based environment.
• Proficient in classroom and behavioral management, especially within urban settings.
• Skilled at creating lesson plans aligned with current state and district standards, capable of differentiating instruction and using formative assessments.
• Must have reliable transportation and be able to complete all necessary Pennsylvania clearances.
• Comfortable working within the district and at the specified location.
• Previous experience with diverse student populations is highly valued.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging, differentiated reading instruction to a varied caseload at the elementary level.
• Design and implement lesson plans that advance individual students’ literacy skills and drive overall reading achievement.
