Registered Nurse School Setting - Haverhill, MA

Make an impact at the elementary level by supporting the well-being of students as the school nurse for PreK through 2nd grade. This is a full-time, onsite contract role, providing care and health guidance to young learners in a vibrant school community near Haverhill, MA. The assignment runs from August 17, 2026, through June 18, 2027, with a consistent daytime schedule from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday through Friday. Both Registered Nurses (RNs) and Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) certified in Massachusetts are encouraged to apply. School-based nursing experience is required.

Key Qualifications:

• Active Massachusetts RN or LPN license
• Previous school nursing experience essential
• Ability to work with PreK-2nd grade populations
• Proficiency with standard school health protocols
• Successful completion of fingerprinting and CORI process (required prior to start)
• Reliable transportation; punctuality and dependability are a must
• Committed availability for the full 8 AM–4 PM weekday schedule; no flexibility or schedule accommodations
• Confident communicator prepared for a Zoom interview

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct nursing care, first aid, and health assessments to students and staff
• Manage student medication administration and individual health care plans
• Maintain accurate health records and documentation in accordance with school and state requirements
• Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to support student health needs
• Promote best practices in student health and safety
• Assist with school health screenings and immunization compliance
