Step into a rewarding school-based contract position supporting middle school students as an Educational Diagnostician for the 2026–2027 academic year. This opportunity centers on making a significant impact with 7th and 8th graders on a vibrant junior high campus. You’ll play a pivotal role in evaluating students’ learning needs and collaborating with campus and ARD teams to help students succeed.
Key Qualifications:
- Hold an active Educational Diagnostician Endorsement (verify certification on the Texas Educator Certification Online System)
- Demonstrated experience conducting educational assessments and participating in ARDs
- Strong understanding of IDEA, Section 504, and Texas special education regulations
- Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills to manage a high-volume caseload
- Commitment to ethical, student-centered practices and confidentiality
Core Responsibilities:
- Administer comprehensive educational evaluations for approximately 175–180 students in grades 7 and 8
- Participate in ARD meetings, working alongside a dedicated ARD facilitator for team support
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and school staff to interpret assessment data and recommend services
- Maintain diligent, timely records and reports for compliance
- Consult on individualized instruction plans and monitor progress, advocating for optimal student outcomes
