What You'll Do
- Verify patient insurance benefits and eligibility
- Obtain authorizations, referrals, and pre?certifications
- Review daily reports and update patient accounts
- Communicate deductibles, co?pays, and benefit details to patients
- Identify denied services and notify appropriate staff
- Re?verify active insurance monthly
- Support billing leadership with account questions
- High school diploma
- A minimum of 2 years of recent experience in insurance verification, billing, authorizations, or collections
- Knowledge of medical terminology, managed care, CPT/ICD?9/10
- Strong data entry skills and comfort in fast?paced environments
