\n Job Summary\n
\n
\n The Quality Assurance Technician is responsible for supporting food safety, quality, and regulatory compliance programs throughout the manufacturing process. This role ensures raw materials and finished products meet company standards and federal regulations through inspections, testing, documentation, training, and internal audits. The Quality Assurance Technician works closely with production, sanitation, and management teams to maintain product quality and support continuous improvement initiatives.\n

\n Job Duties\n
\n
    \n
  • Perform quality inspections, line checks, and regulatory compliance activities to ensure food safety and product quality standards are met.
  • \n
  • Conduct sensory, chemical, and microbiological testing, including ATP, allergen, and cleaning chemical concentration testing.
  • \n
  • Support SQF Level II certification efforts and maintain food safety documentation, supplier records, and compliance reports.
  • \n
  • Conduct GMP, sanitation, food defense, and safety audits while verifying corrective actions are completed.
  • \n
  • Assist with employee training, customer complaint investigations, new product trials, and R&D projects.
  • \n

\n Experience & Skill Requirements\n
\n
    \n
  • HACCP and Food Defense training required.
  • \n
  • Associate degree in Food Science, Chemistry, Microbiology, or a related field OR 2-4 years of relevant quality assurance experience with a high school diploma.
  • \n
  • Knowledge of GMP, allergen control, sanitation programs, and food safety compliance.
  • \n
  • Ability to perform line checks and basic laboratory tasks, including pipetting and sponge swabbing.
  • \n
  • Familiarity with environmental testing, laboratory inventory management, production processes, and regulatory requirements.
