Draw blood samples from patients of all ages, including pediatric and geriatric populations, following established procedures and safety standards.
Prepare collected specimens for laboratory testing in accordance with protocol.
Explain procedures to patients to create a trusting environment and answer any questions they may have.
Maintain accurate records and documentation of all collections and related activities.
Follow safety and infection control protocols to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff.
Demonstrate professionalism and uphold confidentiality in handling patient information.
Perform specimen processing and handling duties accurately and efficiently.
Support a positive patient experience by promoting a friendly and professional atmosphere.
Perform daily tasks with confidence and attention to detail, working independently as needed.
Required Skills
Strong phlebotomy skills, including experience with pediatric and geriatric patients.
Ability to provide error-free, quality work in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent customer service and communication skills.
Proficiency in keyboard and data entry tasks.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Additional Skills & Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Phlebotomy certification preferred; required in California, Nevada, and Washington.
Minimum of 6 months of phlebotomy experience; over one year preferred.
Medical assistant or paramedic training is a plus.
Flexibility to work Monday through Friday, 7:30am-4:30pm PST, with possible Saturdays, on-call, overtime, and holiday shifts based on staffing needs.
