Job Description
Make a real impact as a Special Education Teacher supporting students across a dynamic and diverse district in the Minneapolis-St. Paul area. You'll engage daily with Settings 3 Autism programs at both primary and secondary levels—a unique opportunity to advance your skills and make a lasting difference.
Requirements:
- Valid Minnesota teaching license in Special Education is mandatory
- Previous experience in SPED settings (Autism preferred) at elementary or secondary levels
- Strong adaptability—caseloads may shift as district coverage needs evolve
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills for working with students, families, and fellow educators
- Thorough, proactive, and organized approach to documentation and compliance
Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized instruction and interventions according to each student’s IEP
- Collaborate closely with instructional teams, related service providers, and families
- Maintain compliance with state and district policies regarding reporting, IEP meetings, and progress monitoring
- Support a positive and inclusive classroom environment
- Foster social, emotional, and academic growth for students with varied learning profiles
