Key Qualifications:

• Valid Alabama Teacher’s Certification with an English endorsement (Bachelor’s degree or higher required)
• Familiarity with current secondary ELA curriculum and best practices in instruction

• Strong rapport-building abilities with students, families, and colleagues
• Excellent classroom management and organizational skills

Primary Responsibilities:

• Create an engaging, supportive, and inclusive classroom culture that promotes student growth and achievement
• Establish and maintain positive relationships with students, parents, colleagues, volunteers, and visitors
• Inspire students to develop essential ELA skills, a love for literature, and the habits of lifelong learning
• Employ technology and innovative teaching methodologies to enhance lessons and student engagement
• Provide feedback and academic support tailored to individual student needs
• Collaborate with administrators and participate in ongoing professional development
• Carry out other duties as assigned to support the school’s educational mission
