English as a Second Language (ESL) Gen Ed Teacher - Harvey, Louisiana

Key Qualifications:

• Current, active Louisiana Department of Education teaching certificate required
• Experience in general education and/or as an ESL teacher, with a passion for student success
• Willingness to complete time-sensitive background checks, including a district-required drug screen and fingerprinting
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively collaborate with staff, students, and families
• Adaptability and problem-solving abilities for a flexible caseload and school assignments

Responsibilities:

• Develop and deliver engaging lessons for diverse student populations, supporting academic achievement and English language development according to district curriculum
• Assess student progress and tailor instruction to individual needs, maintaining accurate records and documentation
• Collaborate with classroom teachers, counselors, and administrators to enrich the school community and promote an inclusive learning environment
• Participate in professional development and contribute to meetings in line with school and district goals
• Communicate regularly with parents and guardians about student progress and classroom activities
