Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive support to a busy litigation attorney.
- Prepare, format, proofread, and file legal documents.
- Handle state and federal e-filing and ensure compliance with court deadlines.
- Manage attorney calendars, schedule hearings, depositions, and meetings.
- Draft correspondence, pleadings, discovery requests, and other litigation documents.
- Maintain and organize physical and electronic case files.
- Communicate with clients, courts, opposing counsel, and experts.
- Track deadlines, court dates, and case developments.
- Assist with discovery, document management, and trial preparation.
- Utilize Outlook and other technology tools to manage communications and workflow efficiently.
- Prior experience as a Litigation Legal Assistant or Litigation Paralegal.
- Experience supporting attorneys in a high-volume litigation practice.
- Strong knowledge of court filing procedures and e-filing systems.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook and other legal technology platforms.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to prioritize multiple deadlines and work independently.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience with trucking, transportation, insurance defense, personal injury, or general civil litigation is highly preferred.
- Competitive salary of $55,000- $70,000 based on experience.
