Job Description
Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Pharmacist in Charge experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
This role is for a Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) based in Kennett Square, PA, offering a 13-week contract to hire opportunity. The position requires a dedicated professional to oversee pharmacy operations and ensure regulatory compliance across multiple sites.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as the legally designated PIC for all non-resident state pharmacy licenses, unless otherwise assigned
- Act as the primary point of contact for Boards of Pharmacy, inspectors, auditors, and regulatory agencies
- Ensure accurate reporting of operational changes, ownership transitions, facility modifications, or PIC changes
- Oversee sterile and non-sterile compounding operations, ensuring adherence to quality standards
- Lead quality assurance initiatives and continuous process improvements
- Supervise and guide pharmacists, compounding supervisors, technicians, and production personnel
- Manage daily batch record creation, execution, review, and approval
- Support production scheduling to achieve on-time delivery, accurate inventory, and efficient capacity planning
Schedule:
- Monday through Friday: 8:30 am – 5:30 pm
- Flexible availability on Saturdays as needed
Qualifications:
- Active Pennsylvania Pharmacist License
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a PIC or Pharmacy Manager
- Thorough knowledge of USP standards and relevant state/federal regulations governing 503A compounding operations
- Proven experience leading audits and managing regulatory inspections
