Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Pharmacist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A specialty compounding pharmacy in Kennett Square, PA, is seeking a skilled Sterile Compounding Pharmacist for a 13-week contract-to-hire opportunity. This role focuses on preparing compounded sterile and non-sterile medications with a strong emphasis on patient safety, quality, and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Accurately compound sterile and non-sterile preparations following master formula worksheets.
  • Implement and adhere to standard operating procedures (SOPs) and company policies for compounding.
  • Ensure compliance with USP standards and all federal and state regulations related to compounding.
  • Conduct aseptic techniques, and perform proper cleaning and garbing according to policy.
  • Complete calculations and maintain thorough documentation.
  • Operate and monitor production equipment, including computerized systems, ensuring quality standards.
  • Prepare work areas meticulously before production.
  • Perform quality control tests and inspections to verify potency, purity, and accuracy of compounded medications.
  • Stay current with new compounding techniques, formulations, and technologies through ongoing professional development.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Valid Pennsylvania Pharmacist license is required.
  • Recent experience in pharmacy practice.
  • Experience with sterile compounding is mandatory.
  • New graduates with sterile compounding training are encouraged to apply.

Schedule Options:

  • Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM or 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM.
  • Possible shift: Monday to Friday, 10:30 AM – 7:00 PM.
