Job Description
Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Pharmacist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A specialty compounding pharmacy in Kennett Square, PA, is seeking a skilled Sterile Compounding Pharmacist for a 13-week contract-to-hire opportunity. This role focuses on preparing compounded sterile and non-sterile medications with a strong emphasis on patient safety, quality, and regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Accurately compound sterile and non-sterile preparations following master formula worksheets.
- Implement and adhere to standard operating procedures (SOPs) and company policies for compounding.
- Ensure compliance with USP standards and all federal and state regulations related to compounding.
- Conduct aseptic techniques, and perform proper cleaning and garbing according to policy.
- Complete calculations and maintain thorough documentation.
- Operate and monitor production equipment, including computerized systems, ensuring quality standards.
- Prepare work areas meticulously before production.
- Perform quality control tests and inspections to verify potency, purity, and accuracy of compounded medications.
- Stay current with new compounding techniques, formulations, and technologies through ongoing professional development.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid Pennsylvania Pharmacist license is required.
- Recent experience in pharmacy practice.
- Experience with sterile compounding is mandatory.
- New graduates with sterile compounding training are encouraged to apply.
Schedule Options:
- Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM or 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM.
- Possible shift: Monday to Friday, 10:30 AM – 7:00 PM.
