A fulfilling opportunity awaits skilled special education teachers ready to make a meaningful difference in the lives of students. Multiple full-time contract positions are available for the upcoming school year, serving elementary, middle, or high school populations in a dynamic, urban educational environment. With varied grade levels and schedules, educators will have the chance to contribute to student growth throughout the academic year.

Desired qualifications and experience:

  • Active special education teaching certification/licensure (required for caseload assignment)
  • Bachelor’s degree required; eligibility for an emergency teaching permit if not already certified
  • Prior experience in a school environment, with preference for those familiar with urban settings
  • Demonstrated expertise in subject matter and instructional strategies aligned with state and district standards
  • Strong classroom and behavior management skills; ability to foster a positive and structured learning environment
  • Capable of developing and implementing differentiated lesson plans that incorporate formative assessment
  • Proficiency in utilizing a variety of instructional materials and resources
  • Up-to-date PA teaching clearances (or able to complete prior to start)
  • Consistent, reliable transportation to the onsite location daily
  • Comfortable working within district expectations and policies

Key responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality instruction to students with diverse learning needs in an onsite setting
  • Design, implement, and refine lessons based on ongoing assessment data
  • Maintain student records, provide regular progress updates, and collaborate with staff and families
  • Create a supportive, inclusive, and structured classroom culture

Positions are available at the elementary, middle, and high school levels, with hours ranging from 7:15AM-4PM, Monday through Friday, totaling 35 hours per week. All roles begin in late August and continue through early June.
