Qualifications and Skills:

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
  • Active Texas Speech Language Pathologist License
  • SLP-CCC certification
  • Minimum of one year of experience in a school or pediatric setting preferred
  • Expertise working with elementary and middle school students
  • Ability to develop Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills
  • Compassionate, patient, and flexible approach to therapy

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess, diagnose, and provide therapy for students with speech, language, and communication challenges
  • Create and implement individualized treatment plans based on student needs
  • Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and parents, ensuring continuity of care and progress monitoring
  • Conduct screenings and evaluations to identify students requiring speech-language services
  • Maintain accurate records and document student progress in compliance with district and state guidelines
  • Provide support and guidance during IEP meetings and parent conferences
